COME ALONG AND JOIN US!

2nd Goring Scout Group is a registered charity. It is run entirely by volunteers, subscriptions and charitable donations. There are several ways you can help find out which options suit you:

DONATE

The Co-Op's Community fund, Easy fundraising, Virgin just-giving and Salary scheme

If you wish to support the Group but have limited time why not make a donation to the Group. This can be done by:

  • Co-Op - If you have a coop card you can select us as your charity of choice.  Everytime you buy a Co-op own brand product we get a donation equal to 1% of the cost.

  • Easy fund-raising – frequently make online purchases? Purchase your goods as normal and the company will make a donation at no cost to you or us!  See the video below!

  • Virgin just-giving - see below

  • Through your salary – many companies allow employees to make charitable donations through their salary, ask your Line Manager for more information

BRICKS AND MORTAR:
OUR CAMPAIGN FOR A NEW HQ!

We need a new Head Quarters to help us deliver an even better programme for our growing group.  We will also use the building to help us fund raise to ensure the Group remains in the area for another 50 years! It’s a team effort with our youth members, leaders, parents and friends of the Group working together to raise the £280,000 we need to build a new HQ.  We have the land, we have the plans and we just need the funds to purchase the building materials.

West Worthing Rotary Club have kindly donated £10,000 to kick-off our campaign and professional fund-raiser Tony Thorn from Raising Results has offered his services for free.  Our team is currently concentrating on engaging local businesses and applying to local Trust Funds. If you have any ideas to help us raise the money we need, please get in touch.
